2” Gel-Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper – Twin, Ventilated & Breathable

First, I have to mention, I only left it to expand/ventilate for 24 hours not the intended 48 or 72 hours as instructed so I won't complain about the smell. I got this memory foam mattress topper thinking it would help or at least cool my bed a little in this summer heat. Despite being advertised as a "cooling gel infused" topper, I'd say it doesn't really help or provide any noticeable cooling effect. It's fairly breathable, but it does get hot when you stay in a single position for too long. Since I often move a lot during my sleep, the heat from staying in one position isn't really a problem for me, but it could be for others.Despite the lack of cooling, the memory foam does add some good pressure and pain relief. I do appreciate the 3-inch thickness of the foam; I'd say it's just good enough thickness for me. I don't think 2 inches, let alone 1 inch, would be enough to be worth getting a mattress topper. As I am somewhat large, 3 inches or higher is what I need for me to feel any real difference in comfort.To improve this product, I think there needs to be a 4-inch option, as 4 inches is probably king to provide the most comfort. Also, to address the cooling issue, a copper-infused option should be considered. From what I have heard, copper may provide better cooling than gel-infused foam. While this topper is comfortable, it fails to deliver on its primary cooling promise.

After purchasing another mattress topper that claimed to be memory foam and then wound up feeling like a regular egg crate foam topper, I wasn't sure what to expect from this. It came vacuum packed and upon opening, some parts were compressed, and other parts weren't, so it was uneven. I followed the instructions which said to lay flat for 48 hours to allow it to expand. Even after 24 hours, it had fluffed up to a uniform thickness. I was really happy to find that it felt like true memory foam where it bounces back after pressed. This significantly improved the feel of my very firm guest room mattress. I am pleasantly surprised!!

I love this mattress topper. It’s thick and squishy. It’s not going to be a firm one so you will melt into it but in a good way. It does not flatten under my weight and I am 223 pounds. I love the color even though I know that doesn’t really matter. 🤣 The only thing that would make this better is if it had a removable cover over the foam to protect it and help it last longer. Other than that it’s perfect. I deal with a lot of pain and health problems so this helps a lot and helps the bed not put pressure on my joints. I am very happy with this and highly recommend it. It’s durable and nice quality. Of course with any foam that doesn’t have a protective cover it can crack and have small pieces break off if you have a dog that touches the foam while no sheets are on it. (Like when you are washing your bedding, etc) so just be careful. ❤️

I'm not sure if there are different grades of memory foam. If there are, I would put this more on the softer side. I actually ended up taking it off my bed after one night, it didn't seem to provide the support I needed and compacted quite a bit (I am average weight). Even so, the topper expanded to its intended size (queen) without any issues and after a couple of hours reached its full thickness. It is listed as "cooling" since there are holes throughout. I only slept on it one night but I didn't notice any heat buildup. No smells and it was properly cut to size.
